I was going to write an entry lamenting the demise of the saxophone solo in rock. Because we really haven't had any good ones lately. Clarence Clemons may be the last working sax player in what passes for rock or pop these days.
That's what I was thinking. But then I heard Ninja by 7 seconds of Love, which has a stonking sax solo right in the middle.
Those of you in the UK, listen up. Your mission is to ensure Ninja is the Christmas number one this year. It's a bit tough, since as far as I can tell it hasn't been released as a single. But this must happen. Remember, there are rumours of a Spice Girls reunion. You don't want to be sitting down to your turkey with the Spice Girls on the telly do you?
